Special General Meeting
Dear Life Members, Players and Members,
We write to you to confirm that a Special General Meeting of the Parkdale Vultures Amateur Football Club Incorporated (the Club) has been called to consider a proposed amendment to the Club Rules (Rules).
The current Club Rules were prepared in 2003 and have served the Club and its Members well. The time has now come, as the Parkdale Vultures Amateur Football Club has continued to grow and evolve, to provide a set of Rules under which the Club will operate to better reflect the Club we have become. The proposed amendments to the Club Rules seek to better represent the Club we have become, the people involved, the recognition of more of the current participants as members in addition to acknowledging the presence, and importance, of Netball to the Club. The Rules also provide the ability for participants of the Parkdale Vultures Super Rules to be formally recognised as Members of the Club.
The proposed amended Club Rules were tabled at the 2024 Annual General Meeting to all Members present and it was determined via a vote to proceed to a Special General Meeting to proceed to a vote to have the current Club Rules amended to the proposed Rules.
Current members or Life Member of the Club are invited to attend this Special General Meeting.

The proposed amendments seek to further refine the Rules to reflect these primary amendments and contemporise the rules to today’s standards.
The primary amendments to the Rules are as follows:
- The Trading Name of the Club to be amended from the Parkdale Vultures Amateur Football Club to the Parkdale Vultures Football Netball Club.
- Note there is no change to the official entity name of the Club.
- Introduction of Netball, where relevant, throughout the Rules.
- Amendments to the definition of Member of the Club, and who is considered to be a member of the Club.
- Amendment to the consideration of the number of Life Members that may be appointed each year, from two (2) per year to a maximum of three (3) per year.
- Amendments to the criteria for consideration to be nominated for Life Membership of the Club.
We would like to thank those that have worked through the process to prepare the amended Rules and would like to acknowledge the work of Daniel McGowan for his dedication and commitment during this process to prepare the amended Rules for consideration of the Clubs Members.
A copy of the proposed Club Rules, as well as a schedule of the proposed amendments is provided with this correspondence.
